Has anyone had a problem where just before you fall asleep, either side of your face and your lower jaw will start twitching like mad, and you can't control it or wake yourself up? That started with me, I can't remember when, and it hasn't happened in a while, but it still confuses me. Why, is the question I have. Does anyone have any useful web sites where I could look this up?

I've tried going to google to look this up, but it just gave me general information on sleep disorders.

I myself, have had my left side of my jaw twitch. It wasn't in my sleep. I don't know the cause of that either.

Nymphadora, if your face still twitches, When this happened to me, I'm thinking it was caused by a disease called bells palsy, which is a perrallisis of the face. My left side of my face was parallized for quite some time. There are numerous causes, but only a doctor can diagnose you. I'm not sure, but that could be the cause of my twitching. All I can say is to consult your doctor about this issue, if your are still twitching.
